While attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco Ian decided to take his love for video games and make it a career. After graduating with a Bachelors in Fine Arts for Computer Animation he found work at a local game development studio. Now with six (6) years working professionally as an Artist within the Video Game Industry and five (5) shipped titles, ranging from hand held to console to PC, he has worked with four (4) different studios. This experience has resulted in an advanced working knowledge of building a game from first concept, to final bug testing.
Ian now works for Omerica Organic as a Digital Sculptor and teaches realistic game modeling at The Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. Translating what he has learned while working as a professional commercial artist, Ian writes easy to follow, illustrated tutorials for his peers and students. Being advanced in using Zbrush, Maya and Photoshop he enjoys exchanging tricks of the trade with his peers. Ian is currently living in Denver, Colorado.
